Meet Harris Sutherland. You’ve probably met him here or there around the community. Volunteering with different events or organizations, or perhaps you’ve had the privilege to see Harris on the golf course, he won’t say it but he’s pretty good!
Last night he took on a new role in our community. He has been named the President of the Battlefords Chamber of Commerce and it’s pretty special. He not only has the honour of being the next President, but Harris is the first ever First Nation President!
Here’s what he had to say about this honour:
“Very honored and proud to have my family and friends at my inauguration as the first ever First Nation Chamber of Commerce President for the Battleford’s. It was a great night. I am very honored and humbled by this whole experience. I look forward to what this year will bring for positive business in the Battleford’s.”
Congratulations Harris. Or should I say… Mr. President!
