In North Battleford the WDM is one of the first things that greets you as you hit town coming from hwy 16 East or hwy 40 East. Every summer the WDM Heritage Village comes to life for different events and one of the big draws for the young and young at heart is the petting zoo and activities at the Big Red Barn.
It’s easy to imagine the WDM getting a crew together and raising that barn right where it stands, however your imagination would be wrong. This Barn spent a long part of it’s life on the prairie near Gallivan and was moved in 1986 to where it is now.
