I love it when someone else cooks and does the dishes. That puts me in a good mood straight away. Last night we decided we were going to go out for supper. It was a special night since we went swimming at the Battlefords Coop Aquatic Centre with the kids for the first time since January. THEY LOVED IT! Probably going to have to make that a regular thing.
I often hesitate about taking my kids to a fancy-sit-down supper at a restaurant, not because of COVID, but because I know my 3 ring circus can be a little intrusive, distracting, and simply put, noisy. The staff at BLEND had it all figured out!
When we got there they were happy to have us, greeted with hand sanitizer, and a smile (from behind a mask) they took us to one of the Banquet rooms! Talk about special treatment! The kids were amazed at how the serving staff were so quick to ask what we wanted to drink, and then come right back with HUGE glasses of pop and refills to boot! The monkeys did their thing while the grown ups got to visit, and the sounds and luxurious smells of the restaurant and the people enjoying a night out filled the air. Something so simple, I can’t believe how much I missed it.
The food, the service, the special care, The BLEND… it was a great night out!
