Earlier this week we dealt with a snow day. There was so much snow. Slowly but surely we’re seeing the streets get cleaned up, drive-ways are getting shoveled out and we’re all getting on with it.
Today Mother Nature decided to put us back in our place by bringing on the cold. WOW!!! On the way to work the thermometer on the truck was reading at -25! The Windchill was at -32!
Now I know you’re probably thinking, “Awwww Muffin… C’mon Nic, that’s nothing new! It gets way colder than that around here.” And I agree. I was ready for it today, I even wore my longjohns. And it was a good thing I did. Our heating system at the studios decided it was going to take a little break. Yeah just a little break for the old heating system.
When I got to work today I walked around the building and found that the average temperature was 12 degrees. HOLY CRAP!
When I travel in the winter time I like to keep a bag of warm winter clothes in the vehicle, just in case. Well those clothes came in handy this morning. Luck favors the prepared my friends. I even have a pair of those little gloves with the touch friendly fingertips so I could still operate the computer in the Q98 Studio.
Luckily the problem was fixed with a simple reset of a switch. Here’s hoping that doesn’t keep happening this winter.
