I don’t have to go very far back for today’s Throw Back Thursday. Remember when Netflix first came around? I still think it’s funny to think that they used to have the “mail” system as an option where you would go online, select the titles you wanted to watch, and they would mail you copies of the DVDs and when you were done watching, you would mail them Back!
Not surprisingly that part went away and the company dove headfirst into creating the On Demand Streaming Market. Oh boy did they blow the doors wide open! Netflix changed TV forever. My kids don’t know what TV commercials are. That’s a true story!
Today Google lists Netflix as #2 in the top 10 streaming platforms, right behind HBO Max. Shhhh don’t tell Disney+!! Well make way for Jeff Bezos and Amazon Prime. In an effort to crank out more, and higher quality content Jeff just bought MGM Studios for a whopping $8.45 BILLION. This right here is proof that streaming TV is the only TV. How long does Cable, or Satellite have left? Do you still pay for either of these?
