North Battleford residents began the day with the sight of smoke billowing from a house fire on 101st Street.
The North Battleford Fire Department said the call regarding the fire came in at approximately 6:30 a.m., as flames at a residence close to 15th Avenue worked through the building quickly.
Crews are still on scene, where the residence is being called a total loss. Traffic has been restricted in the area since the fire began, as crews work to wrap up the remnants of the blaze and manage the damage.
At this time, it is unknown if there were any occupants of the building that were in close proximity to the fire and if there were any injuries sustained. The crews working on scene should finish by noon.
