How do you build a community? If you’re Lee and Leanne Ganzert and the team at HVR Construction, you do it – literally.
Lee was born and raised in the Battlefords. He’s a Red Seal IP Journeyman Carpenter who’s been in residential and commercial construction since 2005. That means he’s worked with everything from steel, concrete, and masonry to wood and insulated concrete forms on everything from small home improvement projects to total new builds. And in April 2015, he and Leanne decided to go out on their own and start HVR Construction.

What you really need to do is visit their website or check out their social media to appreciate their work: from reaching stairways and gorgeous super-functional kitchen to dream garages and spectacular log homes. Stunning.

What started as a team of two has turned into a crew of nine experienced passionate people doing great work throughout the Battlefords. But Lee knows that the growth of a company and a community is not limited to the number of people he employs. That’s why he encourages and supports his employees to attain a higher level of education, increasing their value to the company – and the community.
HVR Construction is also proud to utilize virtually all locally sourced materials and subtrades injecting thousands of dollars back into the local economy. Lee’s philosophy: if the local community can support him, then it is his duty to support the local community.

So, how do you ‘build’ a community?
1. You form an identity.
2. You earn trust.
3. You fuel participation
The team at HVR Construction do that every time step onto a jobsite – literally.
