Being from a small town that seems to breathe the spirit of Hockey, I sometimes forget that that there are other reasons to put on skates. Figure Skating is an incredibly demanding sport and the skills necessary to succeed only come with hard work and dedication.
Two of the bests figure skaters of my time were Elvis Stojko and Kurt Browning. They definitely knew how to make figure skating their own and people LOVED it!
It’s because of athletes like these two that some kids dream of standing on top of a podium. The Winter Games are in full swing in Beijing and they are just as entertaining as ever!
