Will Smith had his own joke to tell Chris Rock “What did the 5 fingers say to the face? – SLAP!”
All kidding aside that incident has completely overshadowed the actual films of Oscars. My father in law lives by a rule – Never see the Oscar Films. He says too many times he hears from friends and family that wish “for that 2 hours of their life back”, so he steers clear entirely.
I honestly haven’t really paid much attention to the films that are nominated and those that are not, or the ones that win and the ones that don’t. From time to time I have accidentally seen an Oscar film or two. But the awards don’t convince me one way or the other. I was planning on seeing Dune before it was nominated, but then I found out it was a 3hour baby-sitter – the only good thing that comes from sitting in front of the TV for 3 hours is that I don’t get into any other trouble.
Out of all the other films, I might check out Don’t Look Up just because I hear Jonah Hill plays an amazingly funny diva/jerk – Oh! and they cast Leo Dicaprio as an old man, with an equally old significant other (I don’t get why they always cast old dudes with young women?).

So are you gonna see any of the Oscar films… besides the short film of “Vessel of Love: The Hand that SLAPS”. I hear that one is all over the internet LOL!
