In Canada we have tons of cool huge roadside attractions. In Battleford we have a rather large baseball bat, Drumheller they have a giant dinosaur and we can’t forget about Mac the Moose in Moosejaw. Now the town of Wilkie is wanting to bring back an old favourite the Grasshopper sculpture. The coolest part about this is they want your help. The Wilkie Roadside Attraction volunteer committee is hosting a design contest for the new grasshopper. If you have any kind of drawing or design talent you are welcome to submit your work. All submissions need to be handed in to the Wilkie Reddi Mart or the Wilkie Town Office by June 13.
Now I have to decide on if I really want to drawing a beautiful picture of a grasshopper to submit. I have never tried to draw bugs before but I fell like it can’t be that hard right?
