The first one is a little spooky. Well that is to be expected when the book is by Stephen King. This is a collection of 4 short stories and I would particularly recommend Secret Window, Secret Garden. This story is about a writer who is trapped in his worst nightmare. I originally watched the movie adaptation with Johnny Depp and I knew I needed to read this book.

The Nature of Witches – Rachel Griffin

I read this book for the first time last fall and I really enjoyed it. This is a fun story that follows Clara whos is a witch. I love this book because of description of all of the different elements. In this book the witches have had to maintain the climate. Each witch has seasonal powers that correspond with when they where born. We follow Clara as the climate becomes to much for the witches to handle.

Midnight Sun – Stephenie Meyer

Yes this is a Twilight book and yes I do think you need to read it. I will be honest I normally reread at least one of the Twilight books in the fall and this is my favorite out of all of them. This is basically the first book but all from Edwards point of view. Honestly it’s like reading the rambling of a mad man and that man is Edward Cullen.

My Best Friends EXORCISM – Grady Hendrix

This book give you everything you would want from reading a slasher like novel set in the 80’s. This book is full of teenage angst and it’s so good. One day while 2 girls where at the lake one of them began to act weird and then the one begins to act weird. What will be Abby and Gretchen’s fate?

IT – Stephen King

I mean I don’t have a whole lot to say about this book. Its’s a classic in my opinion. It is the longest book out of all of my recommendation but it is worth it. Watching the movie IT is one thing but the book takes the weird creepiness’ to a new level.

Mindhunter – John Douglas & Mark Olshker

This book doesn’t get a rating because it is a little different then the others. This is a true crime book and it is basically the origin story of Criminal Minds. These guys are basically the real life Rossi and Gideon. Plus there is one season on Netflix about how they began to profile these criminals. I thought this book it was quite educational and a very interesting read.
