I remember seeing Dumbo as a kid. I didn’t really think too much of it. I was little. Now I’m all grown up. I saw the trailer for the new live action Dumbo film… did you see it? I’m gonna tell you but I hate to, I damn near balled like a baby.
Tim Burton’s direction takes a film that would otherwise be rather fluffy and transforms it into this deep emotional dive and I’m afraid I can’t hold my breath that long. Especially if the trailer gave me all those feels.
Dumbo is showing at the Capital Theatre starting tonight. Are you going to see it? I want to, but I’m not sure I can. It’s gonna be too sad. I have to really guard my heart… ever since Bing-Bong…
