Adulting 101? This has to be a joke, right?! Right?
It’s not a joke. For those that need this I’m happy for them. For them, it’s great that somewhere down the line there was a person that took it from a joke to a reality.
Here’s the funny part (in a bit of dark cynical sort of way), the adults that these skills are modeled after learned these things from their adults. Where did the train go off the rails? It seems the Adults that are complaining about “kids these days” may have to look in the mirror.
Then again is it their fault? Or does the blame lay on the shoulders of the tech tidal wave that has washed the generations so far apart? Are those adults trying to break through the flickering screens of this era? If the necessary lessons from parents and responsible adults were packaged in a brightly colored hilarious meme would young people be able to absorb it?
Or perhaps it needs to be presented in a first person role play format. Rather than raiding villages, stealing cars, or sniping rival soldiers, young people could meal plan, budget, drink responsibly, pay taxes, and raise children! I wonder if there is enough blood, guts, gore, and bikinis to smear it with to make it competitive…
Adulting 101… It’s crazy this is real, but, for now this might be hope for the future.
