As a kid I was surrounded by hockey, my friends, neighbors, my cousins, heck, my own brothers for a little while! First and foremost hockey is for fun. The kids that play it, and the families that dedicate themselves to it love it. Their commitment shows here at home in a huge way.
The other side of loving hockey is the thought that someday, just maybe, you’d “make it”.
The NHL.
That dream is part of the fun! You can’t tell me that even as you play some street hockey you don’t imagine the crowd cheering as you “score the game winner in overtime”. It’s a thrill!
For some it’s only a dream, and that’s okay. For others that dream comes true… like Colby Cave! The Edmonton Oilers have recalled the 25 year old North Battleford home-town Firepower and we couldn’t be more excited!
