It’s always nice to see our community reaching out to lift eachother up. This morning I was lucky enough to spend the day at Discovery Coop Gas Bar at Carlton Trail for Fuel Good Day!
Fuel Good Day isn’t something new, the Coop has done it for a few years in a row. This year the whole world got flipped on its ear with this whole pandemic thing but Discovery Coop didn’t let it phase them. Fuel Good Day fuels good things in our community so they went for it.
The morning saw the pumps busy with people bringing their personal vehicles. Of course! People have to get gas, but the best part about that is everyone can do something good. Doesn’t matter what you drive, a brand new Beamer, or a 1980 something Beater. When you pump gas today you can walk away knowing that you helped!
A special shout out to all of our local businesses that came to the pumps today too. Local contractors, independent business owners who have sunk everything into our community showed their support by taking the time to fuel up.
And the final little bit of icing on the cake comes with this year’s “Sunshine Moments” the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Battlefords love seeing little rays of sunshine in the smiles, laughs and lessons that are shared between the Little Brothers and Sisters with their mentors. You can help provide that by purchasing a little paper sunshine at any of the Discovery Coop Departments. Just $2 and all the money goes to the cause.
