4:30AM – The Alarm goes off and I spin my feet out onto the floor. It seems like an early start but that’s okay. I’ve been a awake for a while already anyway. Today is going to be a good day.
5:10AM – Get to the radio station. Grant is already here (as always). The building is pretty still this early in the day. Log in to the computer and print off all the speaking notes I’ve prepared over the last few weeks. That feeling in my stomach is getting tighter. Today is going to be a good day?
5:30AM – Volunteers and Foundation members start to roll in. Everyone is busy setting up signage and reviewing process. Coffee? Yes please! Thanks Timmies.
5:45 AM – Settle in to our positions in the Boardroom. Sutton on one end, Me on the other, Grant in the middle, and Claudette across from Grant. Gotta stay distanced for safety protocol. It’s going to be a good day. It’s going to be a good day.
6:00 AM – The news airs, and then it’s go time – ON Air for Healthcare. The first donation for $20 comes from Amber Chmelnyk. HERE WE GO!!!

6:00 PM – Where did the day go!? WOW I can’t believe it’s over. After what seemed like endless donations, challenges, and special messages we have come to the end of the Radiothon. Every donation added up, every little bit counts. And it was indeed a good – NO – a GREAT Day!
Because of you we were able to raise OVER $128,000 to benefit the BUH Medical Lab and enhance patient care at the Battlefords Union Hospital. Amazing! This community never ceases to amaze me!
