With the Christmas shopping season right around the corner there is something I always look at when it comes to deciding what I’m going to buy for family, friends, and neighbors. How it’s packaged.
Sometimes companies package stuff in the STOOOOOPIDEST ways. Why do so many things come in “clam-shells” or “blister packs”? I’m pretty sure most things would be great in a box. Christmas wrapping would be so much easier if things just came in a box. Oy! When I come across a gift that’s impossible to wrap I get out the old garbage bag, stick a bow on it, and done! The best part is when you’re opening presents someone will inevitably say, “get a garbage bag for all this wrapping and packaging” – BAM!!! You just saved the day.
Gifts aren’t the only thing that come in odd packages. Check out this video from Jimmy Rees (you can follow him on Facebook). I think this is exactly how they decide how some things get packaged.
No matter what packaging things come in, one thing is for sure. If it’s a good deal it don’t matter.
Tomorrow is the launch of our next Local Internet Auction, just in time for the busiest shopping season. And the best part is you can do your shopping online from anywhere! Keep an eye on Q98.ca for the link tomorrow morning.
