The 78th Golden Globe Awards took place on Sunday night after being delayed for nearly two months due to COVID-19. To honor the best in film and television as determined by the Hollywood Foreign Press.
“A lot of flashy garbage got nominated” at the Golden Globes – at least according to co-host Amy Poehler.
She also made a comment about how many of us might not have heard a lot of these new movies and shows because we were all watching The Office on Netflix for the 16th time.
The winner of the night was Netflix. After being nearly shut out last year — this year with 10 wins out of 42 nominations. Meanwhile, Amazon locked down four awards.
