Living Sky School Division (LSSD) reported three cases of COVID-19.
Two cases were found in Macklin School, while one was found in an individual at North Battleford Comprehensive High School. All who were in close contact have been notified and per health and safety protocols, both schools received a deep cleaning/sanitizing and remain open at this time.
LSSD is reminding everyone entering schools to monitor for any signs or symptoms of the virus and continue to follow all safety measures. No further details are being shared about the three affected individuals due to privacy concerns.
As of May 25, there are 45,820 positive cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, as well 43,842 recoveries and 527 deaths, for a fatality rate of 1.2 per cent. There are now more than 665,000 vaccines administered and the seven-day average for new cases has dropped to 142.
