In Saskatchewan we are blessed to witness all 4 seasons. It’s pretty cool when you think about it. Summer gives way to Fall, the change of the leaves, then it cools off and snow flies for Winter, then Winter Melts and melts… and melts away into Spring!
Ah yes glorious Spring! The return to the northern half of the thermometer is just so rejuvenating! Everyone loves to enjoy the nicer temperatures and the longer days and most of us spend plenty of it outside. In Saskatchewan that means it could be wet, it could be dry, heck it could even be snowy! So we have different footwear for all conditions.
At our house where there are 6 people, plus the dog, that means there are a minimum of 4 pairs of footwear – PER PERSON!!! If you count the pairs of shoes, it always looks like there is a party going on at our house. Sneakers, rubber boots, farm shoes, sandals, winter boots and fancy shoes for church. E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E. I call them booty traps because if you tried to sneak into our house you would trip over the heap of shoes and die.
I chatted with some of our listeners today about what their entry way looks like in spring and boy did they know what I was talking about! Bernice, Taylor, Erin, Tyler, they all had their own version of the heap of shoes that lives at the back door. Michael was a different cat, he has it figured out! His wife? …well click to hear what he had to say about that!
