Now I’m no gardening master but I gotta say that it takes a special somebody to produce a potatoes like this. It takes someone who loves gardening, it takes someone who embraces the delicate balance of nature, it takes someone who understands the science of soil, sun, and water.
I am not that someone.
My wife and I love gardening, but every now and then, the work of it all gets piled up and sometimes things get forgotten about… Like these gnarly little potatoes.
I’m not sure how long these oddball cousins of the potato family reunion had been left to their own devices in the basement but it seems to me that it was clearly TOO long.
Potatoes growing OUT of potatoes. That’s a new one for me. With that I challenge you to share your gnarly garden produce of any kind. 5 Finger Carrots, 10 pound turnips, a corn on the cob that looks like Elvis, whatever you got, I want to see it!
