Sask Power was on the scene in North Battleford Friday after the top of a semi-tractor-trailer took down a power line after clipping it at the corner on Territorial Drive at Peyak Trail (formerly Railway Avenue).
The power outage began just before 10 a.m. and impacted most of the city.
The North Battleford Fire Department was also at the scene ensuring the public’s safety.
Fire Chief and Director of Protective Services Lindsay Holm said crews needed to secure the scene so no one else accesses the area where the hazard occurred.
“[They needed to] then make sure the driver stays inside their vehicle to reduce an electrocution hazard, until Sask Power discontinues the power and removes the line from the vehicle,” he added.

Sask Power crews said around 11 a.m., that it could take up to two hours to restore power to the city.
