Last Friday, our office was abuzz as we gathered around for a sizzling showdown – a Bacon Battle!
The rules were simple: everyone would present their bacon masterpieces, and then, the entire office would vote for their favorite.With the aroma of bacon in the air, it was pretty much impossible trying to concentrate on anything else!
Darien made her world-famous bacon cookies – even using bacon grease instead of butter! They were undeniably delicious, but some of us couldn’t help but miss the distinct bacon flavor we had been expecting…
And then, there was Tyler, boldly pushing the boundaries with his creation. Bacon wrapped meatballs stuffed with mac and cheese.
And I decided to go with a classic yet indulgent treat – bacon wrapped smoked sausage, coated with a mouthwatering blend of brown sugar and maple syrup.
The first bites were met with sighs of satisfaction, and everyone was enthusiastic to share their thoughts on the dishes.
And as the votes were tallied… there was one clear winner. Darien’s bacon cookies had captured the hearts of the majority.
