Have you ever heard about the Blessing Box project? It’s a great initiative that allows people to donate items they no longer need, and it has been very successful in North Battleford. The project was started by Natalya Shevchuk in 2017, and now, the Town of Battleford is also getting its own Blessing Box in Spring 2024.
The idea behind the Blessing Box is to help people who are having difficulty affording everyday items like groceries and personal necessities. Many people are struggling to make ends meet, and this project provides them with the opportunity to get what they need. The box will be located near the Senior’s Fitness Park by the Alex Dillabough Centre, and all the costs incurred for its construction will be through donations from the community.
Our mission as a community will be to keep the box full of many grateful donations. It’s a great way to help those in need and give back to the community. So, if you have any items that you no longer need, consider donating them to the Blessing Box.
